I also checked windows updates history on their computer and nothing that resembles the yoostar download in windows updates history.
I cannot rid of this from the patches list on windows updates. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. In addition, I tried clicking on the link to find out what it was for under "More Information" and the link doesn't work. I have set my updates to notify me first before downloading or installing. Still a mystery so far I installed it last night and I have noticed ,along with people I have webcam conversations with, that the video quality is much greater than those that have not downloaded the update.

I have never had problems with it but the quality was always sub par however the update really did a great job on improving the quality. I also accessed device manager and went to look at the image devices I have on my laptop and Yoostar camera had replaced my HP webcam or perhaps renamed it. Using the device manager also gives you more properties concerning the Yoostar camera however nothing substantial.
This is a bad embedded piece of software that can do damage to your system like banking password information to culprits who are out to steal from you. Get real!!!!!!!!!! I want legitimate windows updates on my system. It just looks like they broke the code into windows updates now. In reply to RobertSaikaley's post on August 9, Hey Robert if you want to look at the exact details about the Yoostar camera open up your device manager. If you have Vista, in the search bar type in device manager and press enter then press enter again to allow the Microsoft management console to open device manager.
Now with device manager open go down the list to imaging devices and opening the cross. Here you will find Yoostar camera. Now right click and select properties. With properties now open click on the driver tab. Here you have several options available to you such as the driver details, update driver, roll back driver, disable and uninstall.
Since you don't want any part of this update, the last three options are the most sensible for you. Yes, I can tell you that some of my friends have also not received this update. However I have checked for spyware, worms, trojans and viruses after installing this update and have yet to find any of them on my laptop. Hopefully when Microsoft helps you out you can let us know what comes of it.

HP site shows a sonix driver but with that in mind why do we have to ask ourselves whether this is authentic or not. Cross referencing shows this is a fake right now. Software engineers we need some accuracy on this update and give us the knowledge that will empower us to feel safer here. The sonix program i downloaded was 4.
